Anatolian software companies are Turkey's least-reported but fastest-growing segment. They are not generalists — each city has built deep software expertise around its dominant industry. For European buyers, this means hyper-specialized vendors at lower rates than Istanbul or Ankara, provided you match the city to your sector.
1. Gaziantep — textile, food, regional logistics
Gaziantep is Turkey's textile and food capital, with strong machinery and chemical industries. Local software companies specialize in:
- Textile ERP, dye-house and weaving plant software
- Food traceability and HACCP-aligned systems
- Regional logistics for Middle East exports
2. Konya — agriculture, agri-machinery, manufacturing
Konya hosts Turkey's largest agricultural machinery cluster. Software focus:
- AgTech, irrigation control, fleet management for farm equipment
- Manufacturing MES for tier-2/tier-3 automotive suppliers
- Logistics and grain trading platforms
3. Kocaeli — automotive and industrial
Close to Bursa, Kocaeli (Gebze, Izmit) is heavily industrial. Strong in:
- Industrial IoT, SCADA, PLC integration
- Automotive supplier portals
- Petrochemical and refinery monitoring
4. Adana — agriculture, food, southern logistics
Food processing, citrus, cotton and textile. Software scene is smaller but practical:
- Cold-chain logistics
- Food packaging line software
- Regional ERP integrations
5. Kayseri and Eskişehir
- Kayseri — furniture industry software, regional retail systems
- Eskişehir — aviation (TUSAŞ, Anadolu University), small AI/ML community
6. When Anatolia is the right call
Pick an Anatolian vendor when:
- Your project lives inside the city's signature sector
- You can travel for kickoff and milestone reviews
- You value lower rates and lower attrition over breadth of stack
- You want a partner that speaks your industry's language fluently
7. Closing
Do not pick by city name; pick by sector match. Gaziantep for textile, Konya for agri-machinery, Kocaeli for automotive, Adana for food. Done right, Anatolian vendors deliver senior, sector-fluent teams at 30–50% below Istanbul rates.
